Hans Wildiers, MD

Hans Wildiers, MD is a medical oncologist with expertise in breast cancer and geriatric oncology. He has been a staff member at the University Hospital Leuven since 2004 and has coordinated the Leuven Multidisciplinary Breast Center since 2015. Prof Wildiers has coordinated several academic studies in breast cancer and geriatric oncology and authored over 400 peer-reviewed papers. He has also served as President of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology from 2018 to 2020 and chaired the EORTC Elderly Task Force from 2009 to 2015. Since November 2024, Prof Wildiers has served as the President of BIG against breast cancer, succeeding Martine Piccart.
