Yen-Shen Lu, MD, PhD

Yen-Shen Lu, MD, PhD is a leading expert in medical oncology, with extensive experience in translational research, clinical trials, and targeted therapies, particularly in metastatic breast cancer. He obtained his MD from the Chinese Medical College and PhD from National Taiwan University. Dr Lu currently serves as the Division Chief of Medical Oncology at National Taiwan University Hospital and as Professor at the National Taiwan University College of Medicine. He has initiated and led over 10 clinical trials, focusing on targeted agents for metastatic breast cancer, including trials for breast cancer with brain metastases. He co-chaired the steering committee for the MONALEESA-7 trial and chairs the steering committees for the BYOND and RIGHT Choice trials. Dr Lu is an influential member of the Asian Breast Cancer Cooperative Group and the Scientific Committee of TRIO and has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to cancer research.
