Nadia Harbeck, MD, PhD

Nadia Harbeck, MD, PhD is the Director of the Breast Center and a Full Professor and Chair for Conservative Oncology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at LMU in Munich, Germany. She has held several leadership roles at LMU, including director of the Center for Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer , head of the Oncological Therapy & Clinical Trials Unit, and Steering Committee Member for the Comprehensive Cancer Center LMU. Prof Harbeck is the current Director of Education for ESMO. Her expertise is in breast cancer and gynecological oncology, with a particular focus on clinical trials, tumor therapy, and translational research. She has been the principal investigator for numerous national and international clinical trials and serves on several influential committees, including as co-director of the West German Study Group and founding member of the AGO-B Breast Study Group. Prof Harbeck is also heavily involved in international guideline committees, various scientific organizations and has been a prominent speaker at international breast cancer conferences.
