Peter A. Fasching, MD

Peter A. Fasching, MD is an expert in gynecology, obstetrics, and translational medicine, with a research focus on big data, statistical modeling, genomics, and systems biology. He obtained his MD from the University of Cologne and completed his Board Certification in Gynecology and Obstetrics at University Hospital Erlangen in 2006. He is currently Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics Translational Medicine and the Head of the Clinical Trial Unit and Coordinator of both the Breast Cancer Center and Gynecologic Oncology Center at University Hospital Erlangen. Prof Fasching was elected as a member of the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina in 2022 and has played a significant leadership role in several major breast cancer trials, serving as both a Steering Committee member and principal investigator.
