Stephen K. L. Chia, MD, FRCPC is a renowned medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer and new drug development. He is a Full Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology and Head of the Division of Medical Oncology, UBC, Vancouver Cancer Centre. He has a full-time clinical practice and serves as Chair of the BC Cancer Breast Tumour Group and Head of the Department of Clinical Research. He is also the Co-Chair of the Breast Disease Site for the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG). Dr Chia is recognized nationally and internationally; his research focuses on clinical trials and translational research, with over 180 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, and Nature Medicine. He is an editor for multiple oncology journals and holds several peer-reviewed grants.
